The United Kingdom based Kiwis raised funds for Christchurch at one of the luxury London hotels. An auction sale took place at the Savoy, and it was attended by more than 250 people. Each attendee paid around $1000 for a single ticket. The chief guests for the auction included Derek Leas, New Zealand high official and former Sean Fitzpatrick, Zinnias Brooke and All Black’s Anton Oliver. The group of kiwis intends to raise at least $6895 to support the people and city. The main aim is to help out all kiwis. It is because so far more than 200 people have been reported as dead and many people are still missing. Furthermore, there is an enormous damage to housing and infrastructure.
